Tips to long beautiful locks *Swishhh*

Hello Beautifuls! Todays post is all about hair. I seem to always get asked questions about my hair so I thought I would do a 'top tips' sort of post on how I look after my hair and how I have managed to grow it fairly long. Now I am by no means saying I think my hair is amazing as most of the time it sends me round the bend.
Ever since I was little I have always, always had long hair like nothing ever shorter than bottom of the bra length. So Iv been quiet lucky to be able to embrace my natural locks and really is the only reason my friends and randoms seam to always ask what extensions I use. ( I don't use any this is my natural hair gets quiet annoying after a while but I can only take it as a compliment I guess!) So what are my secrets?

These are just a few things I have done myself and find work well for me. I am not a hairdresser and probably have no clue what I'm talking about but if it can help someone out in any way I will be more than happy.

- Always use a heat protector - I find the VO5 or Aussie ones work well
- Before I dry my hair I use a detangle spray, Im currently using L'Oreal Kids detangle spray and its brilliant and smells amazing!
-  I use a Tangle Teaser to brush my hair and it really stops the pulling and stretching of hair when its wet.
- Condition your hair every time you wash it.
- Getting your hair trimmed on a regular basis what make it grow faster like people believe but it will prevent split ends so they won't break off.
- Use a leave-in conditioner before blow-drying. Another favourite is Aussie.
- Don't over-wash your hair. 2-3 times a week should be enough. Too much washing can strip your hair of its natural oils.
- Massage your scalp when washing your hair. You know how they do it at the hairdressers? It helps blood circulation to your scalp which can help hair to grow.
- Before getting out of the shower, blast your hair with cold water. It will close the cuticles and make it shiny.
- Use a dry shampoo between washes to keep hair looking fresh and prevent over washing.
- Try and use a defuser on your hairdryer so direct heat isn't being used on your hair.
- Try not using heat every day. If you can get away with it go au natural.
- Eat lots of fresh fruit and veg. It will do wonders for your hair. You can also take natural supplements that promote hair growth if you really do despise fruit and veg.
- Last but not least, BE PATIENT. My hair has taken years to get to this length but I find by doing all of the above I have prevented it from getting damaged which therefore helps it to grow faster.

Even though most of you will already know this stuff, I hope it might of helped someone who is trying to get their hair in good condition and grow it.
Do you have any top tips or miracle products to help with hair growth?
