Bank Holiday Beauty Haul

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello Lovlies so with the easter bank holiday fast approaching I realised I needed a few essentials to rock me through the weekend and picked up this lovely lot.

  • Im obsessed with Ardell Lashes honestly they are the best around and these are my fail safe for a night out or event. This Bank hol Im actually going to Leeds for a friends birthday night out and seen as though Im recycling an old out fit I thought I could treat myself to a few accessories!

Lashes are DEMI WISPIES in black.

  • On to the foundation, I needed a new foundation and after testing a few samples I thought id try my luck with a drugstore cheeper option. I opted for elf and the new Rimmel match perfection. I previously owned the elf foundation after picking it up from a local Target while back in Florida and loved it, its oil free and gives pretty good coverage with out being too cakey. The Rimmel was more of an impulse by and I still have mixed feelings its a rather light/ sheer coverage and on its own i really didn't like it.. however I've been mixing it with my elf foundation and find it gives me a great coverage and the colour matches perfectly. (I did buy elf darker for 'summer skin')

  • The L'Oreal nail polish I've had my eye on the confetti and I needed a new red so when it was 2 for £7 I couldn't resist. See my NOTD for more on these products!

Eye spy a new lippy, right so I'm not a big lipstick kinda gal *gasps* but I have been eyeing up the orange trend as seen on Kourtney Kardashian and Jessica Alba.
This colour to be exact....

  • I found a great colour from Artdeco sold in Debenhams and my god I'm actually in love! It took a bit of guts for me to put this on and actually leave he house but I totally love it..I could be converted!

  • Last but not least was my Bad Gal Lashes mascara by Benefit, What can I say I ran out of my previous tube and re bought, this for me gives great results and I prefer the wand on this to the 'they're real' mascara.  These will all defiantly be featuring over my bank holiday weekend and seam like a worthy beauty investment!

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Review

I first saw this product reviewed on a lot of makeup blogs and really wanted to try it out for myself as I'm a sucker for following the trend! I went and picked up one in the color “Sweet Tart”, which is shown below, and absolutely lurrved it when I tried it on so I ended up going back the next day to buy two more colours.

Basically what this product is is a tinted lip balm in a tube. Revlon describes it as “Buttery Balm + Shiny Color.” I bought mine from Boots and at £7.99 it's a really good buy for the coming summer months!
Pros:
  • Available in soo many colours (20 to be exact)
  • Smooth, lip balmy feel on your lips once applied (hence the lip butter name)
  • Appears smooth and silky on your lips
  • Applied easily and removed easily
  • Adorable container
  • Perfect for a bit of color that’s not like that of full-on, long lasting lipstick
Cons:
  • Doesn’t last long on your lips so you need to reapply often
That con isn’t that bad considering most lip products are like that. I typically just wear it when I’m going out for a short while to give my lips a bit of colour.
I’ll give it a 4/5 only because I wish it lasted longer, but I guess that’s wishful thinking since it’s a lip butter.

Estee Lauder Lip Conditioner SPF 15

Described as  soothing moisture treat for your lips, I decided to treat myself and get this hoping that it might actually go some good. This lip-caring formula hydrates, comforts and protects your lips, day and night and Includes SPF 15 sunscreen plus Vitamins C and E.
Estee Lauder Lip Conditioner SPF 15

I use to be the sort of person that would die at the thought of spending £16.50 on such product but to be honest after the amount of god awful lip balms and butter creams iv bought to try get that amazing smooth lips, iv spent this amount if not more! I don't like wearing lipstick every single day and yes sometimes I just feel like going out looking a bit more fresh and natural. Im lucky I have very pinky lips that almost look like they have a lipstick on anyway so for me a good nourishing balm is just what I need. And yes it is worth it, its going to last you a longggg time and its brilliant for on holiday in the water parks and on the beach!
Its made up from shea butter and other naturally derived moisturizers help hydrate, smooth and soothe your lips. I often also wear mine under my lipstick as it gives a lovely moisturizing base coat.

Pucker up

Thought I would do a quick post sharing the new lipstick iv just bought. Of course, it’s a MAC lipstick as I personally think they are the ultimate brand for a good quality. So i decided to try out the  ‘Impassioned’ lip colour and wow it is very vivid pink. It is also an amplified formula meaning the lipstick is really pigmented. Im kind of scared of bright lips so this was always going to be a test run for me but i must say i lurvvee it!!  I’ve tried a lot of pink lipsticks from various brands but this one is defiantly amazing and ticking all the boxes!

I bought this lipstick like a few month back and have only just found it and i think it was £12.00 but unfortunately the prices have increased and the lipsticks now cost £13.50. Although it is quite expensive, this lipsticks last me a LONG time ha If you don’t own anything from MAC and are wanting to try it out, I would definitely recommend a lipglss more than a stick as your first product.
